ORIGAMI CRANE

When I send out orders I include a short thank you note. I used to hand write on postcards, which was a bit embarrassing as my handwriting is rather scruffy. I decided to change the format of my thank yous to a square recycled paper flyer which is the perfect size for origami. I was given an origami book and a packet of beautiful origami paper when I was a child and I still enjoy folding paper into fun shapes.

How to fold the iconic crane

1. Fold your square in half horizontally and vertically and unfold.

2. Now fold diagonally into a triangle in both directions.

3. When folded into a triangle fold in half and then squash fold the flap down.

4. Repeat this on the other side to form a small square.

5. Make sure the open end of your square is at the bottom, fold the right lower edge to the central crease.

6. Repeat on the left lower edge.
