MARCH MARKET MADNESS
So without planning I managed to book myself into 3 different markets this March.
Last weekend I did the Handmade and Vintage Extravaganza in Milton Keynes with my sisters. It's a lovely 2 day market in the busy shopping centre. My sisters make hand tied disposable napkin sets which make a great complementary product to my tableware. It also means we can split the costs of the stall and get to hang out all weekend. I haven't done a 2 day event for quite awhile and it was really tiring. I think the most tiring part is the extra planning that's required. I had a great time and met some really lovely customers and traders.
On Saturday 12 March I will be joining Makers Exchange in the iconic 1950's Chrisp Street Market in East London, which is a stones throw from where I live in Bow. I'm really fond of doing local markets as it's a great way to get to know the local community and I'm excited to meet other local makers and traders.
Then on Sunday 20 March I will be returning to the London Artisan in Brick Lane, which I thoroughly enjoyed in February and plan to do once a month.
I'm proud of myself for staying fairly calm and organised. The dining room though has been invaded by boxes of stock and the table hasn't been seen for a couple of weeks as it's been covered in prints and my decorating equipment. I always say to myself I must try to contain my work and not spread. Well I can work on that next month!
